What NOKIA has on the heart

So you might feel that your Nokia phone is old in comparison with other phones, But according to Nokia it isn't!

You might be waiting for that new Windows Phone/Nokia devices that will be streaming out later, but according to Gerard Brandjes (South-Africa Nokia Manager), Symbian will still be the Nokia operating system (software) for less powerful phones. I agree with his statement.

What if I only have a few rand in my pocket and need a Phone? We all stare at Nokia for the cheaper, yet quality Phones, so taking this away form users is not going to work...

“Mainstream consumers are starting to understand the value proposition to Nokia beyond just the device,” he says. “For the next three or four years, millions of Nokia users will continue using feature phones [and] we need to make sure we transition them into the smartphone segment.”
The next product line they will release is the S40. The S40 is a fully functional phone at a very low cost.
Gerard says that although allot of attention is focused on high end devices such as android form Google and the iPhone from apple, the current Nokia S60 is still selling quite good.

“We are looking at connecting the next billion [people] and that will be done through S40,” he says.
