Internet Explorer, is it still worth it ?

Hi all...
Is it still worth it for Microsoft to keep this browser ?

If you ask me, I think they should abandon it.
firstly because it is always slow,
never really have great security standards,
the interface is old and copied.

now why Microsoft never make there browser good and great, is still a question.



 

The new Opera 11 beta , and what it can do

Hi all ...

opera 11 beta is out now lets cover the features :

* new tab layout 

*new mouse gestures 

*new extensions feature

no new UI (which didn't impress me)

still fast and reliable 

now for what I saw it has like a group abs feature which, I don't know about you, but I thought they copied that from the chrome browser  (you know the pin tab).

latest is that they also added "extensions" like chrome ! 

I know that Firefox came up with add-ons but operas extensions looks just like chromes extensions with the same icon on the right hand side instead of a toolbar!

they are chrome copiers.

Now lets not talk about stealing features here, it is still a great browser !

Now I went and looked at my blog's stats and amazingly after chrome comes IE
Most people visited this site on IE,And most were on windows machines some on mac and then 2% other ....

Now I have nothing against IE, But if you were on this site or went to this site you mostly are a geek or person wanting information about Tech. So my question is, Why do most use IE ? 

I wanted to know the answer for some time now and, Yes I have tested it on a browser bench mark. The score wasn't really high (780 to be precise). Chrome was even higher than that with a score of 7500, and I don't like to lie (Remember if your system is slower or faster the results will have a difference's).

Is it just that some persons don't know about other browsers ?
Or they don't want to use another browser ?
Maybe they don't want to install more software ?

Now for what ever Major browser you use,This blog will always run right.
Like IE,Opera,Chrome, the all popular Firefox,Safari,Maxthon etc. ....

What ever the reason, The browser for this blog is (excluding chrome (who was first) IE !
Whether it is IE 9 or IE 8, it stays IE.

Opera is mainly not as used web browser as the rest …

But opera is very classy web browser experience

While some of us still use internet explorer, chrome , Firefox (as I said in my other posts)

Opera has come a long way ( opera all ready at version 10, Firefox still at 3.5 /4 )

2. Plug-ins
3. Widgets
4. Booster for speed less (slow) connections
5. Nice side bar
6. And loads pretty fast
7. (no plug-ins)
8. Unite

- Unite = a opera site for backups of your files, music …

basically what this does is it puts your files on the web so where ever you are , if you have internet you can have your files (good for internet cafes )
